With the Pathways Administrative & Clerical program, you could be ready for a career in administrative support!
The Program
There are many skills you’ll use as an administrative professional and we can help you learn them! The work of an administrative professional involves many areas such as reception, basic bookkeeping, and office procedures while providing effective communication and customer service.
At the end of this 12-week program, all Graduates receive a College Certificate from Pathways Career College. You will leave Pathways with the office and business skills needed to succeed in various administrative roles.
What You'll Learn
- Workplace etiquette and Customer Service
- Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS 365
- Google Drive – Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms
- Business English, vocabulary and terminology
- Efficient business communications and business writing skills (letter writing, memos and reports)
- Reception and multi-line phone skills
- Office procedures (filing, documenting, record-keeping, bank deposits)
- Keyboard skill building and touch typing
- Introduction to Accounting and Accounting software
- Introduction to Accounting and Accounting software
- Basic social media & basic graphic design
You will earn the following Certifications:
- WHMIS Certificate
- First Aid & CPR
- Health & Safety Awareness in Four Steps

Course Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 32 hours per week
- Program Duration: 10 Weeks in Class + 2-Week Co-Op with local employer
- A short entrance evaluation is required for all applicants to the Administrative & Clerical program.
